Last month my EPC light came on randomly and I switched car off and turned back on and it disappeared.. this has been happening more often. When the ecp light comes on I have no power and when I restart I have power back but it feels restricted, the car doesn’t pull well from 2nd gear. I scanned it and came back with p334a as turbo actuator and another 10478 code. The actuator rod does move freely and Iv already tried spraying with wd40. Is this a case of replacing the whole actuator as Seat have said it will cost £480. I cleared fault codes and it isn’t pulling as it was before.

I've had the actuator changed on 2 TSI engines and in both cases the fault still occurred until the turbo was replaced.

Type P334a in the search box top right on this page for loads of information. Its an electrical fault rather than a mechanical one (p334b).

@Naveed922, which version of the 1.2TSI engine is in your 2015 Ibiza, is it the chain driven cam 8 valve one with the turbo mounted at the front of the engine, or the belt driven cam 16 valve version with the turbo mounted at the back of the engine, I know that SEAT dealers were still selling the older version in 2015 when I was looking for a new car for my wife.

The turbo is at the front of the engine

I opened the actuator today and cleaned rust from the magnet and greased the slider etc. Cleared codes and fault is still coming up. Below are the codes. Does this mean it needs replacing now then and do these actuators need calibrating or can I just replace it, I heard if you turn ignition off and on waiting 10 seconds each cycle it calibrates ?
