Help with fault code!?

Hi Guys my colleague at work has a Audi TT 225bhp model. She has been driving around lately which seems to be in 'limp mode' i told her the engine is exactly like the one in a LCR so that it may be down to leaking hoses of MAF fault.

I scanned it with my handheld scanner and the following code came up....

16486 Mass or volume air flow circuit - low input.

Any help will be great.

Guys i know we all get bored with these fault codes but isnt this site here to help each other?

If anyone has any idea on the fault code above i would love your feedback.

It's because if you typed the fault code into google you would have got the answer

Cheers just wanted some real peoples advice. Went on to the TT forum and searched the fault code so im pretty sure its the MAF.
