Got a hit kit fitted it few months ago, all worked fine. Past few weeks it's been throwing up a the lamp out sign on the dash but eventually would clear its self. Today it came on and near side front light won't work. Tried swapping kits side to side, tried disconnecting the battery for 40mins, still doesn't work.

Ideas?

Hi, i mentioned on a similar thread on here before as kept having this exact problem, the problem is due to the H7 hid bulb being slightly longer which causes the wire going to the tip of the bulb to touch the reflector in the centre of the headlight causing it to short out and throw error code and eventually cut out, did try to space the hid bulb back but couldnt get it to stay in right place so gave up and switched back to higher quality standard bulbs, could try H7R hid bulbs as have heard they are shorter

H7R's are for reflector type headlights to stop people being blinded. H7's are for normal projector style/xenon headlights.
