help with removing water injection

Need a bit of help for my mate,

he has just brought a ibiza cupra with revo stage 2 and it has got some sort of water injection on it.

he wants to remove it because we dont know if it been set up correctly, i believe the timing has bee advanced just over 5 degrees, what is the best/easiest way of putting the timing back to normal, to suit the car without the water injection?

im not sure but i believe we may be able to do it with
- vag com/ lemmiwinks?
- revo select switch thingy?

any help would be much appretiated,

You'll need to reset the timing with Lemmiwinks / Unisettings. You need a vag-com lead for this.

is it a easy job to reset the timing to normal with Lemmiwinks / Unisettings?

Fairly. Bit harder than on a leon because I think on the Mk3 you have to remove a fuse. Have a search, good info on using Lemmiwinks on Mk3's here.

Will taking the fuse out cause a airbag fault? i think it says it on the above thread, but it might be a rumour?

i think fourtwofive i think thats his username recently stripped out an aquamist system from his might be worth a pm

pull instrument fuse, use unisettings, read ecu, look at ign setting, and if its anything >0 then you reset it to 0, write back to ecu

refit fuse
