twist and twist until its loose, then give it a good pull at the end.

It has a bit at the end to prevent theft, thats the bit you'll be struggling with.

so am i right in thinking that once the aerial is removed from the roof you will be left with the aerial cable. Then does the s2000 aerial fit perfectly on the ibiza roof? Will you solder the cable onto the new aerial??

piece of p1ss.

mind you, i think i need to re-wire them and add another earth point and relay because when i turn my dipped beam on the MFA and clock resets itself - nothing bad, just very irritating.

And yeah, id never go back to halogen bulbs, not considering HID kits are about £100 for a decent set now.

What happens is that once you've unscrewed and pulled out the standard aerial you're left with an M5 (90% sure on that) female thread inside the roof mount that the new aerial simply threads into. No soldering involved!

The S2000 aerial has a slightly wider base than the Ibiza one but a lot of people are happy with how it looks. If you want to you can simply trim the rubber of the S2000 aerial with a Stanley knife to suit.

A little search on S2000 aerial will give you the info you're looking for and some pics...

with a name like beezetart - your comment doesnt suprise me :p

and "V-G" no they dont dazzle like that, like u quoted, its because the picture is taken with a camera phone, hard to capture lights like that with it.
Never had anyone flash me oncoming, passed mot margins and police have never bothered at all.

Nowhere near, i.e. Norway.

Oh, that lens. I was thinking the HID bulbs dazzled the headlamp lenses somehow.

Mate if i bought that car I would spend the money on having the arches re-done, they were full of filler and there wont be much of that left by end of winter, having all the paintwork sorted round the front end wouldnt be a bad idea either. The ariel base looked broken so i think you will have difficulty in putting an ariel in without replacing that, and I think the offside headlight wiggled about a bit too.

Hope you get it sorted mate
