Mate if i bought that car I would spend the money on having the arches re-done, they were full of filler and there wont be much of that left by end of winter, having all the paintwork sorted round the front end wouldnt be a bad idea either. The ariel base looked broken so i think you will have difficulty in putting an ariel in without replacing that, and I think the offside headlight wiggled about a bit too.

sounds like mine ...my n/s headlight wiggles while braking lol.

was talking about your new one mate, I went and looked to buy it. Think its a gti and not a cupra sport too, it has a sunroof and the dvla said it was a normal gti 8v and not the cupra.
Hope it all works out ok though
