Just see what happens, like I said yours might be o.k. It might just be a a dodgy thread or someting?

an update..................

managed to get the barsteward of an aerial on the thread, took quite a few attempts and pushing down (the guy with the big arms could not manage it) but it has managed to thread on lots better, there is just a slight gap from where I took the lip off the base of the aerial but you cant hardly notice this, there is hardly any overhang at all.

Looks much better now, I am happy to have this on the car.

a pic to show you what it looks like now........

all sorted mate, messing about though and not straight forward.
It seems some people's aerial go on with no probs and others are right bitches! I know for a fact mine would not of gone on without trimming the lip off.

Hope yours goes on better paul, happy with mine now and looks almost as good a fit as the standard one.

no sorry i dont have one (yet) but its something i will be getting.
its exactly the same, but the base is slimmer which matches our aerials better.
as far as i remember he charges around £20.

I got mine from my local Honda dealer for £12. Theres a slight overhang but no too bothered about it and didnt have to put any force on it to get it to fit.

Theres a person on Club Lupo (Dale) who sells the Enfig S2000 ones for £20. I had one from her when I had my Lupo last year. Went straight on.

just been speaking to the guy off mkiv's website regarding the S2000 aerial
(the thinner base one) if anyone was interested he could do them for £19 inc del but that would be based on 5 people buying, just thought I would post this up.

Please see post #31 comparing pics of the aerials, got to be the best fit ive seen.

maybe later, £19 quid for a aeriel, call me stingy but not just yet lol

I am sticking with the one I bought off ebay for now, I posted the info up for other people who were looking at maybe buying a S2000 aerial who were looking for a better fitting aerial (more tapered at the base)

Im thinking about getting some audi TT pedals but there seems mixed info on here about part numbers i.e. wether you need a LHD accelerator pedal or RHD one?

Gave my audi dealer the part number off pabs website and he did not even have it on the computer database.

wanting tt pedals too and a cheap source of a foot rest, somehow
