ok, so the car came out of the
garage today.
I managed to pay for 4 hours of work instead of 7 since they got the origional estimate so wrong.
And guess what! after 5 minutes of driving the engine WARNING LIGHT COMES ON AGAIN!!!
This is exactly the symptom that I had when I took the car in to the
garage in the first place. Only this time the car judders also even at idle.
So it looks like I have spent 700 quid in having something replaced that likely had nothing wrong with it.
Also, they told me they were replacing the camshaft actuator sensor at the cost of the part was 312 quid.
But looking at the receipt the part was 058109088k - which is a Cam Timing Chain Tensioner. Is this the same thing?
The code that the car was reporting was 16396 - BANK1 CAMSHAFT ACTUATOR.
Bloody useless place! I guess that is 700 quid down the drain?
