how do you open a flipkey?

god im getting really cheesed off lol

got a flip key from ebay, but i can not slpit the top half of the key open to put in my tranponder from my spare key, im going mad here trying

someone please help!!!

you need to take the badge (VW or whatever off) with a small screwdriver and then there is a screw underneath that holds the two parts together.

yeah did that, dont think my one is in 2 parts, think it was one of the old ones,

its now in pieces and still not in 2 parts

I had the same on my first one from fleebay but then got another one (just the key part) and it nearly fell apart when I took the screw out. What the hey!!! Just (Still) need to get it coded in!!!

Anyone figured out how to open it up yet. Got a blade cut and I need to put it in

undo the little screw behind the logo disc and (unless it's been glued) the fob should pull apart. I mullered the first one because it had previously been glued in.

If you've just got the blade cut then you need to push the pin out of the hinge under the button and put the new one in.
