ok, its only mee
right got some proper leon electric folding
attached drivers side and it moves the glass
but i cannot get the mirror to fold out
i have the correct switch.
do i need to do something special to make it happen? special motor?, more wires?
have disconnect battery for 30mins and no difference.
any thoughts as can't keep spunking money away like this

quick gander on etka shows need a specific window motor to folding mirrors.
feels like the world is against me on this idea....
anybody who upgraded also upgrade window motors?
if i do can order now for friday from dealers but would rather not

single cable with big plug. this has more wires & pins than the old.

Sounds about right, the number of wires, not you being thicker.
You just have to leave the ignition on

my old were def electric adjust & manual fold.

Sure the extra wires are not because there heated?
I just plugged mine in and they worked, no need to disconnect battery or anything like that.

my old were also heated and have only 5wires.
new have 8wires

Hmmm might be more needed then, maybe the comfort module isn't expecting the signal from the new mirrors??
If you didn't have folding before it may be that the wires from the switch to the mirrors are missing from the loom, the way round this would be to get the looms from a car with folding mirrors and replace them, i had a Vectra GSI and wanted to put electric windows in the back and had to replace the door looms all the connecting wires where there and plug and play, the Leon might be the same.
simple upgrade going very south very fast it seems
looking at part number of motor i have in door, etka indicates this does not do power folding.
1. looks like you need proper motors in door as well
2. looks like convenience module has a part to play, but list is so long not sure which (not easy to read to me)
3. need mirror folding switch
4. need mirrors themselves

ok, just checking etka and the plug is all correct the mirror attaches to.
looks like a motor issue.

The motors are in the mirrors though, all you need is power from the switch to the mirrors and maybe a relay to.
the motors in the door are also different according to etka.
they don't half build these cars differently over time
mine: 1c2 959 802 a -> window regulator motor
needed?: 1c0 959 802 b -> window regulator motor for vehicles with elec. folding mirror.
