How to find engine code

How do i find engine code on my car i got a 2001 180 bhp leon . Needed to find out if it was a AUQ engine code

Lift up your boot carpet, there should be a sticker stuck to the body with the engine code on it.

That, or inside the manual or one of the other booklets that came with the car. You can also look at the top front of the engine block, on the driver's side-end, there'll be a little metal tab with the code stamped on it.

when looking in engine bay, left front of engine infront of oil filler cap and a little to left. like this

Cheers still got some to do and looks better now with the Porsche coolant and oil caps although dont have one with caps without cover
