are you using sanding discs on it LOL, what model polisher are you using
No mate bmex "soft" pads and the pol are a japanese make (I work at the factory in Burnaston not a dealrship so all the products cum straight form japan)

do the pads just spin round ?, or do they throw side to side etc ??, i believe your using an orbital, as to rub the paint away with a random orbital you would need to be a bit silly (with all due respect) or the paint would have to be damaged

ps if you are talking about a random orbital polisher what relevance does your jap machine have to a pc polisher ?

AHHH!! no its a orbital (just round) not a random..
My mistake...

lol, thought so, didnt know of any industrial people that use a random orbit as they just dont cut fast enough

RobDon - are you still using these?:-

RMG - clearkote red moose machine glaze
UPP - 4-star ultimate paint protection
WGDGS - wolfgang deep gloss sealant

I'm dithering about what to order for the new motor - keep reading threads on this site and changing my mind!!

Was going to get the following:-
Klasse AIO
EX-P
Natty's Blue Wax
and then top up after every wash with the spray on Optimum Car Wax.

I'm very keen to get a good base on the new paintwork so I can avoid future 'swirl' problems as much as possible - especially as the new car is Magic Black!

I live in Edinburgh too, so will look out for a very shiney blue Leon in future! Anywhere you know off in Edinburgh who stock this fancy stuff or is it only available on line?

Not using 4*UPP anymore - using Menzerna FMJ (full molecular jacket) now which is amazing stuff - no waiting or cure time like UPP - just wipe on and buff off, amazing slick finish! I still like RMG and WG too - but FMJ is just awesome!

@RobDon or some one else: please help me shortly and confirm that this steps are

1. the right ones

Thanks a lot!!!

That's the order.
I only use the PC for the polish.
Remaining steps all done by hand. Not that much trouble and time ;)
