How to remove Cupra engine cover

I know this is going to sound a bit lame, but how do you remove the engine cover on a Cupra? I have had a quick look and the cover seems to be connected to loads of things and I dont want to just yank at it and break someting.

Vehicles with engine code BWA
– Remove the suction hose (rear left).
– Remove the connector (rear left)
– Screw out the bolts (air intake, front right)
– Remove the engine cover, by pulling firmly upwards.

Vehicles with engine codes BWJ, CDLD, CDLA
– Remove the suction hose (rear left)
– Disconnect hose from the attachment clamps (left)
– Remove the connector (rear left)
– Screw out the bolts (air intake, front right)
– Remove the engine cover, by pulling firmly upwards

Sorry to drag this old thread up again - does anyone know if there's a genuine benefit to the engine cover beyond lending the engine bay some semblance of neatness if you're that way inclined? (I don't give a fudge as long as everything's easy to get to and easy to fix, hence given equal weighting I'd rather ditch it!)

It houses the oe Airfilter And air intake.
