This is following on from another thread (link at the bottom) but could I get some opinions on the following logs. I've been told I should have at least 300bhp but the car doesn't seem much quicker than when I was on the standard turbo with APR stage 2 and the logs are showing a gain of around 0.1 - 0.2bar and the MAF values don't seem to be that high

LCR225 with Hybrid K04, forge tip, green panel filter, 3" blueflame turbo back exhaust with decat.

N75 duty is on block 118, under the heading load. Rarely goes above 70 so I'm guessing its meeting requested fine (no major leaks etc).

Thing that concerns me is that it doesn't feel like a 300bhp car and is only running a tad more boost than when it was 270bhp on the old turbo.

Yeah, I'll have to see when the next one is. Bit short of time though lately :(

I've never really been happy with the new turbo and map (£2k+ for a loss of low/mid range power and a gain of 2psi max top end)

Been wanting to get this sorted for a while but have recently got married and would've been killed if I spent more attention on the car than the wedding, lol.

Isn't there a calculation way to get an idea of power from boost produced, temp and MAF etc?

looks good to me especially as you have no spiking issues. it looks like theres plenty left but as Dave is recommending without seeing log of 115 it may simply be a case that your map is not asking enough.

I'll do another log on block 115, I just figured if the N75 duty wasn't that high then that would indicate that actual is meeting requested

I know there is more to come from the turbo but they won't set the boost any higher yet they say I should have 300bhp easy which I'm not sure of

MAF readings on APR were normally just over 210g/s

I think its worth bearing in mind that its not just about peak figures, its more how power is delivered and how long its there for. It would be good to see a log of block 115 along with 114. As Wilko said maf readings equate to around 285bhp by using the formula (bhp x 1.31) this is only a rough guide mind....

Im assuming you have a wideband lambda fitted? If so have you done any logs as regards to fueling? Block 033 i think it is. Might be worth checking your timing retard on block 020 also.

So logging two blocks at a time
I'll do :-

115 and 114
020 and 033
maybe also 031?

whats best for these 4th gear run from 2k to red line? Think I might need to put a shout out for someone to do the logging while I'm driving, lol

Managed to do a bit of logging on the weekend of the following blocks

003 and 020
115 and 031
118 and 032
002 and 114

also logged EGT's on block 112 which sometimes go as high as 935 celsius at the red line

Absolutely nothing wrong with those logs that i can see. Plenty left in the duty cycle to reach 1.4 @ red line. Its simply a case of adjusting the map to request more.
Excellent early spool with no spiking. i'd be well happy with that.
If its custom code you can up boost request yourself, pm Bill badger.

thanks for the replies, cars drives well except for the odd cough and splutter just doesn't seem that different than the old turbo. I'll have to try and find some logs from a standard k04 and compare.

Unfortunately the tuner wont push it any further despite them telling me a very different story when they were trying to sell me the product, about two weeks after the work was done and money paid they said they wont push it any further for fear of snapping a rod. Wish they'ld told me that in the first place as I wouldn't have had the work done.

Bit of a rant there, sorry about that. Still boils my p**s now when I think about it

I meant to ask you before Carl, whats the difference between your custom TIP and the forge one?
