thanks milli...

yeah mods wise, it needs lowering i suppose, audi top strut brace....and fmic and i would then say that really is the perfect car???

anyone else suggest any other mods you think it could do with..

other thing is a short shifter and seat sport gear knob but they are coming soon!

Yup that will be a well sorted car.
I'd suggest changing the Forge DBM for a INA or THS one along with uprated engine mounts by the same.
But yeh, nice car. Suppose a good washing and polishing set up to keep her looking shiny.
Can suggest www.polishedbliss.co.uk as pretty much the best in Britian to help you with this.
These guys are personal friends too

Also read through these for hints and tips http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/guides.html

Thanks for the suggestions, what will the different dog bone and engine mounts do?

audi strut brace too of course....

In terms of detailing, is there anyone that I can get to detail it in the midlands area? any amateurs want some pocket money to do it??

Will definately miss this one. First turbo car. Very glad to see it go to a member on this forum. Time to get modding the 3 MPS.

Funky, can you offer any comparison on the ARBs that you have fitted on the new motor? What do you think of the 25/28 setup? Cheers.

My Old Leon Cupra R had exactly the same set up so I don't see much difference against that I'm afraid.

The Leon FR+ 150tdi didn't and the CUPRA r handles SO MUCH better! It certainly is very noticeable, it actually goes round corners sticking to the road!

So how do people rate the THS dogbone and engine mounts? Will it help at all?

Dan - It will very much be cared for! Mod that MPS!
Wfrra - Well what was, was. I am extremely happy with this and hope you continue to be happy with yours!

I would go for the Track Density rubber bushed dogbone mount from INA, personally...

I'm still looking into ARBs and an upgrade to either 25/28 or 22/28 atm.

The track density rubber is about 80% stiffer than OEM bush and doesn't vibrate harshly at all. The street density rubber is about 25% stiffer.

Almost everybody opts for the track density DBM and street density for the other two engine mounts from INA.

I think the THS is about 30% stiffer than OEM.

My preference was to get the dogbone at stiff as possible with no vibrations and this turned out to be a great choice (I've never tracked the car either).

Compared to stock, if I put my hand on the steering wheel on idle I can slightly feel a light judder compared to before, but it's very subtle.

If your poly bush has bedded in then there's probably not much changing the DBM is there (as long as you don't get any wheel hop).

Yeah I would get the two THS engine mounts if I were to upgrade as they are quite a bit cheaper. I was quite particular about the DBM though :)
