I went the long way home the other day from Blackpool over towards Blackburn and over the tops of the Pennines at 9 in the morning didn't pass a single car could use the whole road and had the biggest smile on my face ever, its days like that when i forgive the other little issues I've had in the past with the car. It went like stink handled like it was on rails and didn't drop below 35mpg how can I possibly fault that?

As for the diesel rattle. Yes it is a bit noisy from cold but when on the move it becomes more of a roar, to the point where quite a few people have asked me whether it was actually a petrol.

The other great thing is the mid range grunt, when your on a dual carriageway and someone moves over and you give it a bootful you pass them like they're stood still!!!!!

Took my car over towards Hawes past the ribblehead viaduct and on towards kendal a few months ago, superb roads and quiet really enjoyed it.

With a bit of background music and in the right gear , for a derv it is a good performance hatch
