Interesting data logs from a few WOT pulls in the cold winter air.
Conversation with Rick at Unicorn on last visit regarding timing pulls at top end and 99 ron fuel.
Suggested to switch to Tesco Momentum as I've always used V-Power just through convenience of a shell
garage being 1 mile away from home.
Out of curiosity sake I switched and left the ecu to adapt to any changes it can make....
Interestingly though while doing this I seen a recently uploaded
video on
Youtube testing V-power for ethanol content as there are reports of the percentage now being greater than previous, which were confirmed.
Data logging after a few weeks found interesting results, top end is pretty much unchanged with timing pull however it's the mid range at peak boost/torque that has surprised me...the car definitely feels the additional timing, no doubt this would show on a dyno graph.
Mass flow in the more favourable conditions
754.3kg/h to G/S = 209.5
209.5 ÷ 0.8 = 261.8 (Estimated HP)
Which funny enough is what my previous map by DC remapping made back in Jan of 2022.
I have a feeling that if dyno'd again I'll never see these figures on graph purely down to conditions and all the other variables on the day....
