Spanish = Blanca / Blanco

The french translation would be Boucheblanche!

Well just to upset people a little more, i was at my dealership (Suzuki and Seat) and talking to top SEAT sales guy, and he didnt think they would or there hasnt been any talk.

However, Suzuki Swift ----- 1.6 Turbo - 220HP and 4WD! Coming out back end of next yr?

A new contender!?

Hmmmm I'm a bit skeptical about that link, seems like a few stats but no price, not release date and no pictures. I'll wait for news from other online motor magazines me thinks

I can't see the 2.0tsi engine fitting into the little Ibiza! Engine pretty huge! Where the transmission going fit? They can't put the 6 speed wet dsg in it and the 7 speed won't handle the power. Maybe manual for but I highly doubt it.

The revised 7 speed dsg in the new audi A1 is cabable of handling 450 bhp now by all accounts

Pretty sure it will, you probably find size wise it would hardly differ from the 1.4 TSI...if they can get a big 2.0 Turbo Diesel in....I am sure they can plonk a 2.0 Petrol in !! probably bigger bumbers etc to get the intercooler in...

If Vauxhall can do it with the older Corsa, sure Seat can !

read this line from the article

Featuring the ever popular 2.0 TSI petrol engine, the same one which sits in the current SEAT Ibiza Cupra R

Out of curiosity, just called SEAT all they said was at this moment their is no plans for a Cupra R, when I asked about the future, he repeated at this moment their is no plans for a Cupra R........so no hope there then.....I suppose we will all have to dream and continue to peek through the pages of Auto Express for leaked photos in WH Smith !!!!

They can fit the 2.0 diesel in but cant fit the DSG with it hence it being a manual i fink.

For the R models VW could be planning to use the 1.6 turbo (not twincharged) delivering 210ps, with a DSG7 gearbox (same as ours 1.4tsi's supporting more torque).

Every once in a while a news item like this pops up, i still think its bullshit. There is never a decent source. I also think VW has already claimed not to long ago that they would not produce a R version of the Polo.
Its always rumours and photoshops.
