I took the new Leon Cupra at Listers for a blast, long drive getting into the high 7.5K rev range for most of it and was impressed.

I then got back in my Cupra TDI and blasted down the dual carriage way and up to 70mph they felt about the same, after 70mph no chance the new Leon would of destroyed me.

It would probably of pulled away up to 70 as well, however it would not of got 36mpg doing it!

I seen a new Leon Cupra in the flesh yesterday at Seat in Cardiff and from the front it looks no different to the FR,

Obviously on close inspection the seats are different along with the wheels but for near £20k i'd expect something that differs greatly from the FR looks wise.

The salesman said that a lot of people are commenting about about how similar the FR and Cupra looks, and that they weren't happy.

We know the differences but for the average Joe Bloggs who knows nothing about cars.... well.

I paid 12.995 for a 56 plate with 6K miles if that helps.

theres a late 56 red cupra tdi in my local dealers at the moment got 32 miles on the clock and all the add-on packs going for 12,800.

this car is essentially brand new and has cruise aswell going for what really is FR with cruise money

if i hadnt just bought my FR 5 months ago and didnt hate red id probably be itching to buy it
