Ibiza Mk4 Rear Screen

Mine smashed on Sunday, and all of the glass companies I've called are saying that it will now be 2-3 weeks before they can source the glass. This is backed up by all of the local dealers that I've called, as well as a large stockholding company/ wholesaler who has said that these have been on back order with the factory in Spain since 21st December.

Firstly, I'd recommend that everyone takes extra special care around their own rear screen at the moment, and secondly I'd like to ask if anyone knows of any in stock anywhere at all? Can't really afford to hire a car for 3 weeks, and I commute 140 miles a day so there is no public transport option.

Mine smashed maybe two/three weeks ago, just randomly shattered while I was driving it wasn't even a particularly cold day! It's a custom galss shape that fits the ibiza, so i guess you're dependant on stock, fortunately for me they had stock in Swindon.

AutoGlass did mine, Id speak to them, Can't believe they wouldn't have any stock in the UK!

I have tried Autoglass, and they checked national stock with head office and came back with 2-3 weeks again.

Pretty desperate now, so will have to buy an old banger tomorrow and insure it for a couple of weeks.

Go to a scrappy with a complete boot lid and fit that for a bit?

There's none available locally (that I could find at least), nearest was about 2hrs away. Still considering that as an option though.
