Ideling far too high...major help please

hi all, i have just put a new 2.0 16v abf motor in my ibiza, and it is as sweet as, however when stationary the car ticks over at 1500 rpm, how do i manually or automatically turn the tick over down? i have checked the throttle cable, and it has slight play in it, just how it should be, i was wondering if it needed reset on a computer etc or if its as simple as turning a screw, like on a carburettor car.

If it runs cleanly then check the vacuum lines for an air leak.

it runs awsome. and theres no air leak had it smoke tested... any more ideas...
