Thanks

huh? speak english......do not understand.....are you trying to say that you have a lot of stone chips and you need a full respray?

or

you are currently in the process of respraying panel by panel and have since gained stonechips?

Stonechips are a fact of driving, There gunna happen what ever paint you have, unless your car wears a bra.

David.

If its on the front of the car then from what i gather its just a seat thing. Prone to stone chips.

mine is black as you can tell from my sig pic and i have random chips on the front of the car........i wouldnt generally say that the paint was inferior quality to any other vehicle manufacturer really although i have heard from a reliable bodyshop that i know that the laquer on vag group vehicles is quite alot thinner than most manufacturers. This may have something to do with the problem?

Before you shoot people down in flames, take the opportunity to find out where they are from. I believe he is from the Netherlands, his English is better than your dutch i wager.

Imperial Blue as its known in the UK, is really no worse than most other colours, however it uses a lighter undercoat than many of the other colours, and any small chips show up a lot more.

Not a great deal you can do unfortunately, modern paints lack the hardness of lead based paints, and stone chips are a fact of life.

Using a product like Armourfend that is placed in the most vunerable areas can help prevent chips.

any water based paints are prone to it unfortunately

after you do get a respray theres some scotchguard armour all stuff thats like thin vinyl that works a treat to stop it happening again

or as Z above said correctly - Armourfend

Thats right im from the netherlands , imperieum blue is imperial .. well i have almost done a total respray only the right backside not .. its ridiculous but it was coverd with stone chips .. and now with the new paint its not much better ...

Fair enough. But these things happen. It didnt really achieve much coming on here calling it '****'.

If his profile was filled in with where he's from, then we would know!

It just seems that as blue is a dark colour, the stone chips show up more!

its a fact mate SEAT have the sh*test factory paint ive ever known for a car. They chip easily, the get marked easily tbh i think getting a respray from a pro bodyshop would be the best idea
