Improve handling of cupra

Was just wondering what is the best way to improve handling. I was thinking of dampers or konis. What do you lot recommend?

2.uprated REAR ARB
3.20mm rear hubcentric spacers

6.and the most obvious COILOVERS!!!!!!!

where can I get a the VRS arb from for the 1.2 someone suggested. O and is it hard 2 fit?

you have to disconnect the suspension from the subframe and drop the subframe down to be able to route it out of the tight setup but isnt too hard!

ive just sold my vrs arb wasnt bothered with the extra 1mm might go for the really thick jabba 1 when im done spending on the engine

ive just purchased a cupra arb only 1mm thicker but for 3 quid off ebay why not will wait till bushes need doing on the car and get it put on then. or try it myself on the drive like i have with most things

My bro is gettin Eibach coilovers fitted to his Polo tomorrow so will be test driving it soon to evaluate the handling difference.

Eibach Prodampers or Koni FSDs plus Jabba rear ARB thats all you need for the Cupra Phil

Which ARB reduces understeer front or back? And which one do people usually replace with the one from the vRS?

On a side note can you get Full Poly Bushes (not the udder things) for the Rear of the Front Wishbones?
Powerflex seem to only do the udder ones.

Yes, you can, the cupra bushes are solid and a worthwhile upgrade.

ah yes trying to the improve the derv ibizas sometimes sloppy handling. i don't miss that lol. ed butler wrote in a thread testifying how much a difference the cupra bushes made will help you gazb but not chill . on a side note my car handles like its on rails anyhoos 4 wheel steer and a limited slip diff make it freaking amazing quite frankly , you can fit LSD to the beezas but there mega money AFAIK and not worth it unless you goin bit power

£1000 fitted... for some reason I expected you to say £1500-2000 + fitting.

I guess I'll be getting the cupra bushes sometime soon then and maybe if i'm feeling flush with cash change all the rest to powerflex poly items while I'm at it.
Trying to the improve the derv ibizas sometimes sloppy handling I think is putting it nicely, well for a ibiza still on standard shocks and springs.
Lots of understeer when pushed and then knackered bushes on top certainly don't help matters any.

I doubt I can improve the handling much till I get a set of coilovers.
I had a drive in a mk3 ibiza cupra with a good set of coilovers in it, which handled very nicely and was nowhere near as crashy as my FR TDI is over down a bumpy road.

Yeah but I bet you aren't getting 50mpg... I had a 300bhp Scoob but I couldn't travel faster than the petrol gauge

Rear. Front.

I don't see why if you can find one, it will lower the CoG at the front and help shift the moment of rotation back but not a lot as a stock bonnet isn't heavy compared to the engine (but it is very heavy compared to a proper CF one.

But Seriously i would repeat what others say and look at coil overs as the most cost effective means, other than that, but a different car is the only real option. If you think you can better what cost SEAT millions to develope in a short trip to halfords you will be sorely disappointed. you can only build on it.

If you want a serious handler you buy what are recognised as the best FWD handlers, ie, Mini, clio 172 cup, Civic type-r or integra. sorry,

Also not sure the LSD would revoloutionise the handling too much, will be much better for getting traction down and solving the silly understeer you get on the higher torqued 1.8T's and TDi cupra's. But 1200 quid is a lot of money to add on top of money spent on engine mods and price of car etc.
