Indicator bulbs

Any body replace their indicator bulbs from the standard orange ones? If so with what. Seen these on eBay

Anybody used these or can recommend others?

Search for "Silvatec offset" and you should be fine (been using them for quite some time). Osram diadem are also nice

Just bear in mind that any ambient light passing through the bulbs, even when they're off, will be orange, so in bright conditions they will still have a slightly orange glow. Only on dull days, or when viewed straight ahead will they really look silver.

What make are yours?

Silvatec in the back and tested some cheapass silver bulbs in the front (Dutch brand Autostyle)

Silvatec all the way, I've had them in for a good few years and never had the "orange glow" show through either front or back

The ones I'm referring to are Osram Diadem Chrome. I was quite disappointed on fitting them. Sounds like Silvatec might be better, as well as cheaper.

I opted for the blue indicator bulbs, obviously light up amber. Think they were made by Prism. Around £10.

you can get OEM clear Indicator bulbs.... the front Indicator bulbs from a VW Lupo 1,2 TDI 3L.

Bulbs received

Received my silvatec indicator bulbs through the post today but I'm worried they are going to show through amber as it looks like only the top of the bulb is chrome.... Are these what everyone else uses....?

Mine don't look very chrome tbh. Might be ok when they are in he car. Just wanted to compare that's all. Did yours look the same bruceR?

As can be seen in the last pic, it looks orange if daylight shines through it
