Indicator problems

Hi,

New to this site, gotta say great for info.
Got a problem with my Leon, indicators playing up and from searching on here think it’s the relay, problem is nearest Seat dealer is 50miles away, can I use a VW part as I’ve a dealer that just down the read.

What is the problem exactly?

I recently had the nearside front indicator stop working (knew because it was ticking really fast inside). Stopped at the side of the road, gave the lens a tap and it was fine. Happened a couple of times so stripped the bulb holder out, cleaned the connections and packed it with some grease, been fine ever since.

Indictors down work, I’ve checked the fuses and bulbs all ok, the light on the dash work, but either flash slow or just comes on. Feeling it’s the relay. Couldn’t find it until I check on here!

Thanks guys, how do I get the switch out the dash, can’t see a way of doing it.
