Basically... took the wire to from the existing speaker and ran that into the crossover for power.

Then from the crossover ran wires to the new speaker and tweeter.

Then double sided taped the crossover box to the inside of the door card once set to how i wanted it so it wouldn't move around.

Speaker sounds louder/clearer and i've had no probs. Think thats the easiest way?

i've got those speakers in my doors and they were real easy to fit

as turbo ZR, i used double-sided sticky pads to fix the crossover inside the trim panel

as far as wiring goes, i have a rockford amp so i ran brand new stinger cabling straight to the speakers and ditched the old speaker wiring. it was extremely easy to do. i've installed many, many stereos at home and at work and i've never had a car that was so easy to get the speaker cable from the a-pillar across to the door! there's a massive rubber tube that the cables slid through no problem!

hope this helps :)

For dancy style music your best going for JBL speakers as they have more punch to them than the Infinity's.
The inifinity speakers are better suited to more rock style music, with vocals, guitar's etc.

I get this from a bloke who works for JBL, who actually are the same company as Inifinity.

I used to have inifity speakers in my old car, and they are good!, Just trying to help you along mate. Incase you haven't bought them yet.

I dont remember! I'll have a look and get back to you, i think it was the GTO series, (i'll double check)
Its only a pointer though, what i do is to test them in halfrauds, by turning all the other sounds down and playing just one stereo through the speakers so you determine what sounds you want to listen too, most Halfrauds should let you try your own CD so you can check against the music you listen too.

yeah they are the kiddies, infinity and jbl are owned hy harmon kardon to be exact, although infinity's are better amp'd up than run off the headunit same with the JBL's, but they will be fine.

beware of larger magnets, they are much bigger than the OE ones!

Hi guys..sorry to bring up an old thread but this topic is what i need help with.

Ok so basically...i've bought some Front component speakers, and am having a problem with the fitting. Do the wires which connect to the speaker from the crossover unit need to soldered on?? Thanks.
