lol not much force I don't think it was a couple of years ago so not too sure tbh! Think I read a guide on here and you have to hook them from far back not the actual vent at the front. I was more confused about putting the plastic things on as if I recall. But I am blonde girl so if I can manage this you can!

I'm hating the middle vents, I'm doing them right now. Scratched my instrument panel up too, with the screwdriver. I have to say, I'm surprised at how flexible the damn things are. I need to take out the vent unit things now, and I really cannot figure it out. Help anyone?

I just pulled my vents out with needle nose pliers, then used a plastic pallet knife to remove the rings..

Ah, but now they're stuck and just wobbling around, not wanting to come out. And one of them is "missing" the actual slats after I pulled them out.
I think I might have to remove the fascia...

you dont need to remove the facia, how many of the black lugs are showing as thats the key to it, if you have all 4 showing, straighten it out and give it a good pull

stops the air bags in the seat working as well.

How about decent floor mats? or Seat door sills (they are a rip-off though tbh but I still want them!) Some LED interior lights or maybe the W8 light? Can buy a plug and play one from member on here like I did?

Hey Aimez,

You refer to a member selling the plug and pray W8 lights, can you let me know who it is as I like the idea of the simple option :D

Thanks

Steve, this is his car thread he has a nice FR http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=164653
Got mine from him at Edition38. the only thing you have to do is buy/find one piece of wire connect to light and run across headlining and inside door rubber and connect to headlight switch so the red light comes on with the headlights. I have not done this yet just run the wire and left it there! I am too scared now as just had to fork out £90 for a new headlight switch as it broke! If you search 'w8 light' there are a couple of threads with pics telling you which colour wire on the headlight switch to connect too. The light will work fine without this if you are not fussed about this though.

kidinspace - i bought those dial rings off the german ebay last week and they arrived on saturday. were yours just self adhesive rings that had to be cut to size to fit the dials? i was quite unimpressed by what they were and what they cost (about £20!) but they dont look too bad now i have fitted them. if you look really closely you can see the joints but to the unsuspecting eye they look quality

The ones I got where from the for sale section on this forum, they had been removed from a car so not sure how they originally came, when I got them they where just the plastics rings and I attached them with model clue. The only thing I could see on them was a tiny bit of residue from the previous owner. It did however take me three atempts to get the rev counter one on the in the right place  at least the one for the speedo had a bit out of it for the trip switch!

They came as one piece there was no cutting involved, I forgot to mention that there are I think 2 small arrows on the reverse side that should point to the top so you know what position to glue them but you had already fitted them:)
