Really looking nice! i am using the kit which have multiple color light bulbs. The center light in the front is blue and side light is usual. This combination looks good.

Looking at these kits on partsulike.co.uk, they don't come with the boot light, which extra bulb is needed? The individual 501 or the individual festoon?

Festoon from what I recall but mine had about 8 smd's on it....same as the centre light in the front headlining light unit.

I got my complete set (including boot light) from ebay. Came from a german company and only cost about £11 all in. Also added footwell smd lighting too, front and back! :p

Yes it's the festoon. Mines also had 8 LEDs in also it has to be can- bus error free.

Any ideas guys. Fitted front interior lights. All worked brill. Started fitting rear ones and now none come on. Have I blown a fuse on them? Is the fuse under the steering wheel or under the bonnet? Got a 57 plate fr

Compartment right side of dash. 7.5 amp fuse. I went through two fitting them all
Take it out until your finished :)
For me a 44mm festoon would be better for the boot. The 42mm one seems a little small for even when the contacts are bent. It can spin freely on my holder.

I'm sure there was only one 7.5 fuse on the board. It is not listed in the owners manual for the cupra but I think was 15. Just pull the 7.5 one and replace with the same. Test and if the lights come back on remove it until your finished changing out the bulbs. It's very sensitive.

The FL needs 3 x 501 bulbs in the centre front light not 2 x 501 and 1 x festoon as is included in the kit.

The boot light requires a bulb longer than the festoons that parts u like provide in the kit.

Not done the rear passenger lights yet. It appears that they are the ones that tend to cause the fuse to blow when they are being swapped over, so I want to remove the fuse first.

However, for the life of me I can't figure out what fuse it is, the handbook is useless, it even says the wrong place for the fuses, They aren't under the dash as shown, but at the end. I have no brown 7.5A fuses, only 5 and 10 amp small ones, and pulling all of them (I think) didn't seem to stop the interior lights from working. After dropping 2 of them down the trim, I decided that it was best to take a break from it as my fustration was begining to get the best of me.

Would love to know what fuse it is as I've got the two rear LED bulbs sat at home waiting to go in on the weekend then my LED conversion inside is done. Let me know if you find out, cheers

Alright, call me stupid, but how do you get the covers off to allow you to change the bulbs. The clear cover is such a close fit to the beige!!! surrounding, i cannot get a screwdriver in.
I have even tried going the route of removing the alarm sensor, but can't even get the whole surrounding off.
A pic directing where to remove both the front and rear passenger light would be greatly appreciated.

To be honest, i feel a bit of a tool at not being able to do something so simple, but don't fancy having to replace to covers.
