Ipod to mp3

Ive got all my music files stored in ipod format ive just got an FR550 with the usb connection thingy! Have been trying all night to convert fiels with no joy anybody know of an easy way to do this?? Cheers!

Not that cluied up myself but you need a AAC converter, this MAY help!

Have tried that and didnt work aso tried something called super! It converted the first 30 seconds then cancelled! bit ped off at the mo!

Why not convert them in iTunes.... you can set it to aac or mp3...

Doesn't that only set what format it uses when it rips new files from CD - I didn't think it would convert existing files?

Anything you bought from the iTunes store could be a problem as well, as the files are a protected format.

Assuming you still have the music on your computer, you can convert it from AAC to MP3 quite easily. I've done it plenty of times and it works fine.

Alternatively, you can buy a cable which goes from the Apple socket, to USB. I got one free with my Ipod and I use it normally to connect to my laptop.

Can you tell me how you converted to mp3 in itunes please! The ipod dosent work when connected to the usb in the car dosent recognie the files!

1. Open Itunes
2. Go to Edit/Options/Advanced
3. In the Advanced tab, click on 'Importing'
4. Where it says 'Import Using', ensure it says MP3 Encoder
5. Press OK and get back to the main Itunes home-screen
6. Now, right click on the song desired, and click on 'Convert Selection to MP3'
