I Carnt remember it standard to be honest it was ages ago now

no problem mate

so with the dpf delete and ecu remap from jbs you have had no trouble and an improvement in power and mileage with no change in clutch etc? thinking of doing this myself

thanks for your help

Just the stuttering problem that PD170/PD140's suffer from occasionally

Shark Performance also do it now not sure how much but ive read people are happy with it

make me happier haha

i bought a leon 170bhp tdi to later realise it was the PD engine model, now im looking at poor fuel economy and not great reliability

i could of got a limitesd edition corsa for the same price brand new with 3 years warranty that i liked

convince me i made the right choice guys, have you had yours long and do you still enjoy it?

??????? confused ???

you bought a Leon based on the drive (hopefully) but then discovered you have a different engine to what you thought ? and you dont think its going to be reliable or effeicient?
its a cracking engine and most guys see over 50 + mpg

erm isnt the 170 bhp the FR?
well you cant really compare a leon to a corsa for starters

really i must have missed your point of this post? or am i missing something?

just drive it and enjoy it , dont worry other people will tell you have made a good choice.

i was enjoying the power lol

yeh its the fr but i have the PD engine not the common rail so it gets nowhere near 50mpg :(

youd still have to drive the Common Rail like a granny to get 50mpg

You carnt enjoy the power and get 50mpg

lol i know but it is easier with a little heavy right foot to stay in the 40's with the cr whereas the PD seems to drop to 30 at best

i only got a 10 minute test drive so i dont know what the power band is like in the pd is it broad? i was short shifting

I'm thinking of getting Leon FR TDi CR and I thought I'd be able to get around 50 mpg on my daily commute which is approx 23 miles, it's mostly made up of an a sweeping derestricted B road, then motorway and then small bit of A road. I currently get between 48 and 50 mpg in my Ibiza FR TDi (with remap) so I thought I'd get virtually the as this in the Leon FR CR given the quoted figures. I'd be interested what current Leon FR CR owners would except to get on this kind of route.

Kinda the same for me mate, my car used to start cold on the b roads at national speed limit and I got anywhere between 46-52 mpg when I had my cr Leon :)
