as the title reads!

All joking aside, when I accelerate and the car is using the boost and I change gear the car feels like the boost has just stopped making it 'jerky'. (on or off for the boost)
any ideas?

It's a 2004 cupra.

maybe the diverter valve is bad, is yours standart or upgraded? free air blow, like a blow of valve, if so you might need to do a recirculating diverter valve insted, just my guess.

Can i just ask, as it may be related to the diverter valve, when i accelerate heavily while overtaking on a motorway for example, the car stutters and there's a drop, or slight hesitation while climbing through the revs. The car's never been above 5.5k revs and is 100% stock, other than a performance panel filter.

Could this be caused by the DV by any chance?

P.S, don’t mean to hijack this thread, just thought I would ask.

Hijack accepted! The more peeps involved the better chance of an answer! Your symptoms are like mine too, but I thought it was due to the remap, perhaps it's just more noticeable for me?

Ha, good stuff. Knowing your car has been mapped, I would say that it would most defiantly be mire noticeable as you're producing more boost. Have you got the right colour spring in your DC? Come to think of it,the stock DV would be able to cope with a standard stage 1 map,but maybe not for long. And a forge one shouldn't have any issues at all. I'm just kinda throwing this stuff out there really. Are you using an open cone filter?

It's a std dv and a panel k&n

Only things I can think of is either you MAF,DV or a boost leak somewhere. Don't know how much a new MAF us, but a new forge 007 DV is about £90-£100. And trying to fund a boost leak will be a nightmare. So maybe...as you're already mapped, try replacing the DV first perhaps? What year is your motor.

Just seen that it's a 2004 Cupra. Mine's an 04 Cupra R 225, im thinking this stutter of mine may well be due to MAF. I could go down the route of maybe replacing my DV, but as ive used a K&N in the past, (not any more) they've been known to screw around with MAFs so that's my thinking.
