stock map will be different to performance map id have thought. so the gain in power will at least feel quicker cause its been mapped to. instead of economy and safety ect. so a 210r may feel less powerful than a tuned up lc180.
then youve got lag and weight.

get her on the rollers;) . then get her chipped :D

I thought the standard LC tyre size is 205/55 16 arn't they?

Take the following:
1"= 2.54cm
Value of Pi = 3.14159265358979 (14dp)

So
16*2.54 +(5.5*2)=51.64cm OD
18*2.54 +(4.0*2)=53.72cm OD

Therefore circumference of:
LC's wheel = 3.142*51.64 = 162.25cm
LCR's wheel = 3.142*53.72 = 168.79cm

So for every rotation of the LCR's wheel it is covering 6.54cm more!

So for a LC crusing at 4,000 rpm (wheel revs, discounting gear box because it's the same ratios and just to keep things simple :)) it will be doing:

162.25 x 4000 =649000cm/min or 10.82m/s or 24.16mph

for LCR:

168.79 x 4000 =675160cm/min or 11.25m/s or 25.13mph

So for a given engine speed in a certain gear resulting in the wheel rotating at 4,000 rpm the LCR will be travelling roughly 1mph faster than the LC

If i have the tyre size wrong then this is pointless!

 I can't belive i just wasted 10 minutes with this

where did you get the values of 5.5 for the cupra and 4.0 for tyre wall height? The numbers for sidewall heights dont represent a measurement, but are actually a % of the width of the tyre.

you forgot to add a few small but possibly significant factors

oil temp and type
engine wear
trans wear
gear oil viscosity
tyre pressures
transmission losses
engine friction (mileage/wear)
air temperature
exhaust temperature
vehicle weight
road surface
road camber
road temperature
tyre type
clutch wear/friction
flywheel weight
cam profiles
hyd lifter efficency
valve friction
occupants weight
drivers seating position
electrical ancillaries in use
+1001 other things to write but im BORED now! LMAO

hell put 2 cars the same side by side and you'd see a difference even if driven by computers

now grab ya coat and ya keys and get out in the cool nite air and enjoy the damn cars at their best for a change ;) :p and if yours is 0.0002 sec slower or 2mph faster - WHO CARES - just outbrake him ;) but thats a whole new list to look through and my engines running

if i was upgrading from a cupra i would have gone for the 225bhp model and not a 210bhp as you did.
but a decent remap should give you about 260bhp as seen in the Audi 210bhp S3 model.

Well because there is only one 225bhp LCR in Norway, it is not easy to get hold of...;)

Nowhere near, i.e. Norway.
Just one 225bhp LCR pr 08-08-2006? U quite sure about that, mate? I know of one red for sure, driven by a Morten character. The car was bought at Min Bilpartner (Skoda, Ensjø).

A customer from work have a different red 225bhp LCR. Both cars have the old style mirrors, big at both sides and not "tear-shaped".

My LC has 17's as standard not 16's so the diamter is near enough the same mate

tyre size being 225/45/17 :D
