Hi
We have some Quaife Diffs in stock
The main problem is getting hold of the fitting kits , as these are on backorder from VAG
But we have been getting them from Quaife themself
I know that a few people with them fitted have raved about them , so we have sold a few of them and the reports have been good
The Quaife and the Peloquin are the same
The only difference is that the Peloquin comes with the fitting kits
But shipping at the moment with Peloquin has gone up and that can end up costing a fair bit :(

Yeah, JKM couldn't get hold of the shim kit either, they were told the same thing by VAG. They had some made up by a nearby engineering shop. Only charged me a tenner for them including heat treatment :)

Just got my LCR back today after having a Peloquin diff fitted by JKM.

Can only see an improvement having been out for a quick blast. Torque steer is reduced (can't see how it could be any other way?) and MUCH less wheel spin. Even in a straight line i'd say its better, wheelspin in 2nd is all but eliminated and even first gear seems usable now.:D

I imported the diff myself from the US from a guy called Peter at thescirocco.com. Cost me about £470 including shipping and new bearings and stronger bolt kit, but then had to pay £40 import duty. Fitting was about £500 including new oil, seals and shims.

That must be some car you have now buddy, I know there are other guys on here who have similar specd cars, but 350bhp at the wheels must be something else!!! As you say wheelspin in 2nd gear is greatly reduced, and cornering improved, which is what I set out to find out...if they are any good!!
And I assume these quaife LSDs dont put any extra strain on components such as driveshafts etc? (You can tell im a novice when it comes to mechanics!)

You did well getting it fitted for just under a grand. Good effort. :D

Thanks Chris, yes it's pretty sweet now and the LSD has rounded off the package nicely. Had a longer run today and the car is much more composed to drive and low gear acceleration is phenominal, though the ESP still needs switching off to get the best out of it.

Unfortunately I don't have 350 at the wheels (about 316 on the rolling road) but its more than enough to see off most cars :)

The weak dollar has helped on the price for the Peloquin which is one of the reasons I went for it, as well as some claims by US tuners that it is stronger than the Quaife - though they would say that.
