Hi all.

I have got a 57 plate cupra. 36k

It's just been serviced on Monday full cambelt and water pump plus a major service.

I was driving it pretty hard tonight and have noticed under hard acceleration it flutters and just sounds different..

Is this normal as the car is completely standard.

Could the garage have disturbed something ?

Thanks in advance

Chris

It does not seem to be down on power or drive any different . It's just this funny flutter sound on full throttle.

I am gonna have a good look round it for anything obvious at the weekend

Mine started making the fluttering sound on full throttle after I installed my Bluefin remap. I've started to get uneven power deliver now when I floor it so think something might be wrong.

My cupra is completely standard.
I read that when they are mapped you get some flutter especially when you have an induction kit fitted.

This is what's confusing about mine.

I have been reading some old threads and some in the mk1 section,

I came across a thread that was describing what i can hear, it went on to mention the maf sensor playing up.
Was this a common fault just for the mk1's

It mentionesd compressor surge also . i have no idea what this all means but if anyone can shed some light i would be most gratefull.

Ive got the same sort of sound in the exact rpm range. But Ive only just got this after a stage one remap and the MAF was replaced at the same time

Dont want to hijack, but mine has started doing something similar, although I have evoms fitted.

Occaisionally I also get what the misus calls the 'turkey gobble gobble' noise when lifting of to shift at high rpm or when hitting uneven road at high speed.

It's not something that was noticeable upon fitting of evoms so concerned it could be the DV. I think I might be down a little on power also. So it's a trip to a RR and possibly DV replacement. On holiday so have no access to my car, but anyone know if a 08 Cupra has the Rev D DV?

Perhaps Al or someone who has or had evoms can confirm the noises they heard from their cabin?
