Discovered the other day that one of my tyres doesnt seal on the rim anymore and discovered its been bodge repaired inside. So i need 2 new wheels as the spare is the same.

Are the cupra r 18" wheels prone to cracking or distorting easily? anyone else suffered with flat spots on there wheels?

They were already ground out and filled with aluminium weld very poorly inside according to the tyre fitter i took it to. Both the wheels have an awful flatspot on them where the bodge repair is. looking for replacements as i didnt like the look of them, I never did since i bought the car

jesus, they do sound rough! I had flat spots on the rim with my williams but got them sorted when they were re-furbed. Good luck with the wheel search, what you got in mind?

Got it sorted today. Resulted in a new wheel from the dealers at and extortionate price. But i did get 10% off for being in the seatcupra.net forum. :p

I rolled the wheel with no tyre on across the floor and it was egg shaped and stopped on the flat spot. The tyre fitter was shocked that someone could do a repair so bad and let it go back on a car!!! :(

Now i need new centre caps as i broke mine getting it off the old wheel!!

Dont bother getting your wheels ally welded they will never be the same just bite the bullet and buy a new one!!
