Is this a remapped Cupra TDi? (VAG COM log inside)

Hey folks,

As I see a SCN sticker on the back windscreen of my car, the previous owner must have been on here, but im not sure how I could find them to ask, so thought i'd try logging block 011 on VAG COM last Friday evening, on a 3rd gear run from 1500rpm to redline.

Im not sure if i've done it right? Is there any way to tell if it's standard boost or been remapped? Coming from a remapped 180 Cupra it's hard for me to tell as it feels quick, but hard to judge power as i've never driven a TDi Cupra prior to this, but different power delivery to my previous petrol Cupra obviously.

did you buy it private or from a garage ,

if you knew the persons name etc , perhaps admin could track them down

if not get a bit more info up on car etc and try searching the readers rides perhaps they made one , ,

any more distinction or mods done to the car ,

Hi mate,

I bought it from a garage, I know the surname from a couple of receipts, so will email admin to see if they can help.

No mods that I noticed, speakers had been changed and put back to standard for sale, as when I went to fit mine, I could tell it had been done before.

Hey mate, I contacted admin and they could not find anyone with the surname I provided.

I'll wait til the V5 turns up so I can see the previous owner's name / address and give them a call, will prob take a week or so for that though, as the garage sent it off for me.

Hopefully they will yeah, I know I would if a new owner contacted me about a car i'd sold :)

im running 1.65 bar and have been suggested its mapped ,

i too am in the same boat , cant track the history of the car , so unsure if theres a map / chip in pace

the previous lady didnt have a clue about the car , but seat told here the owner before her must have done something as its quicker than standard ??

Judging by your bhp figures yours is definaely mapped mate.

I'm taking my car to seat for them to look at why my clutch makes a noise when the pedal is pressed I guess they might tell if it's mapped then.

noise can be anything with that , follow markwales readers ride as his is making a noise while pressing / not pressing clutch

spoke last nite and he now has searched & suggests its something to do with alternator clutch/bearing or something

SeanyK, have you by chance got VAG COM? If so how competent are you at using it? i need someone to do the alarm chirp on my FR TDI. If you're confident let me know as i'm in Braintree.

Turns out it was the clutch release bearing! Being fixed under warranty.

Carl> I don't personally but know someone who has it, do you have instructions on the chirp thing? if so, then yeah man no problem.
