Sill is hollow but filled with anti corrosive wax. The sill being a support member really needs proffessional checking out as not done properly could lead to further problems/corrosion later. A fall like that can potentially twist the chassis slightly.
My guess would be a bodyshop would want to fit and paint a new sill to be safe
Although you could cut out damaged section and weld in a new box section.
