1! only just started driving again last year when i got this car! The last time before that was when i crashed on my 18th b'day!

Yeah i did all seemed fine but then i heard a load off horror stories about them catching fire and cracking the manifold and thought it wasnt worth the risk!

Well bit of a rubbish day. Went to do the springs after work, finally! and we couldnt get the front strut out. He didnt have a socket big enough for the drive shaft and for the life of us we couldnt get the steering arm off! Back to square one! Gonna have to try and get5 a bigger socket from his mate!

You need to undo the hub nut and also the ball joint, be careful you don't snap it off though! Then slide the hub forward, the rest is straightforward, on all corners.

I didnt do either, just stand on the arm/disc and get a mate to help :p and use brute force!!

I can hear the "cowboy" comments now, but hey it worked and we did it ourselves!

Iv no idea when i did this, cant actually remember, probably around march last year.

Its the Koni STRT Kit so its a 35mm all round arrangement, probs did a little more.

No problems, nothing catches.

Jealous! Mine's a 40mm but I'd sacrifice the 5mm for the shocks.

Tesco dotcom driver at work has a Cupra R MK2 with coilovers, induction kit, exhaust, remap etc

Never knew! He's polish too! I thought he was bullshitting! 280hp or something! Mad!

So you dont need to remove the drive shaft or steering arm? Should it just slide out? My mate was saying you need to remove one so you get some rotation to get it off.
