i have owned my lcr for just over a week and so far its a love hate relationship . i want to love it but i hate it . i need help / knowledge or someone with vagcom . its had a missfire for a while it drives fine at half throttle but on full boost its seriously under powered and it starts juddering when it hits 3.5 too 4k revs .
so far i unplugged the maf it ran better so got a new maf , it ran better for a day or 2
then it came back with avengence ,so i replaced 2 coil packs the ones under the reservoir , and have tryed swapping in every combination the other 2 with my old ones , it was serviced 3 month before i bought it i have removed the plugs they are the correct grade , dont appear to be any problems . i am loosing the will to live here :cry::censored:

Hard luck mate, and congrats on the purchase, I believe that you are best replacing all 4 coil packs as one is away then the weaker ones start to fail so prob best to replace all.
Also give the MAF a clean, make sure no crap is on it.

Has the car got a different air filter/induction kit?

The reason I ask is that sometimes the oil from them can get onto the MAF, which could maybe explain why it was ok for a short period after changing the MAF.

I'm not saying this is the fault but its worth considering, it could just be that the engine has now adapted to the new MAF and thats why it went and is now back but not MAF related.

no the car is totally standard , standard filter that looks clean aswell but hey at least ive got piece of mind and know i have a new maf on the car so that rules that out. would all 4 coils fail in a 1-2 weeks

i have had a little dig around the hoses , and done the usual moving them around while the engine is running to see if i can disturb the running but no nothing , ( used to own an octavia vrs so am used to the whole split hose thing ) .

Juddering under power?

Is the clutch ok?

Juddering could suggest it is worn/slipping and possibly a large-ish bill :(

Just a thought.

As above or fly wheel.
Also try changing the fuel filter to see if it's starvation.
VAG com should be your first port of call
