I'll soon be fitting my K03S hybrid so I've been looking over the fitting kit as per:

The thing is, I'll be fitting a JBS mani at the same time so I'll also need a new exhaust manifold gasket which I believe to be 06A 253 039 E (see here)

Question is, as I'm fitting a different manifold what out of the above list do I no longer need?

I'm guessing I won't need the hexagonal head bolts and washers at the bottom of the list as I have my own studs etc for the manifold, but is that it?

Thanks in advance :D

I've been sent a set of JBS' newer version of their stud bolts which are meant to be able to withstand higher temperatures and I've also ordered some locking K nuts and Nord Lock washers which I'm hoping will do the job.

I'm also wondering if there's any benefit in running 2 gaskets to further prevent any blowing?

EDIT: As for the manifold -> block bolts Ian, can you use the standard ones or do I need to get a set of these from somewhere too?

Hmm fair point :) So did you order a new set of standard manifold bolts with yours then mate or stick with the originals?

Either way, I'm guessing I can still remove those last two items from the list (assuming they are the standard turbo-manifold bolts and washers) and just stick with evertything else listed, as well as an exhaust manifold gasket and bolt set?

i used old ones for mani to head, they seemed fine, was just the mani to turbo ones, but you have the new ones so should be ok :)

Sweet, as I thought, cheers Ian

So I now just need to confirm what on the above list I don't need if I'm fitting this JBS mani, which I believe may just be the last two items

all the stuff is the same for new mani, just the bolts you got from jbs is the only difference, cant see the list as cant see pictures at work, rubbish hey.

Robbie, DONT forget to plug in the bolt from mani to turbo closest to the head before you tighten up the mani or else you will notice that you´ll need to take it all off again like I did cos the bolt doesnt go in when mani is fitted. Took me 2 hours ekstra!!!
