ive have recently got my hands on a k03s, just waiting for my scorpian exhaust and ths intercooler.

my old man is gonna make me a de-cat/downpipe when i fit the exhaust, now i know this needs to be done for a k04 conversion, so my question is how much extra work is there on a k04 conversion over a k03s?

because there is obvioulsy more power capability from the k04 and i might aswell do the k04 if it aint much more work?

will i need an S3, TT, LCR manifold to suit the k04?
obviously a new TIP and MAF surround needed from S3, TT, LCR!
4 Bar fpr?
do i need S3, TT, LCR injectors?

if ive got anything wrong or missing please let me know!

thanx!

help appreciated!

4 bar depends on whos mapping it. If your old man can make teh downpipe then i'd go k04 if you got the money.

You pretty much got it all understood. :D

yeh cheers Phil, thats just what i can gather from other topics!

just not clued up on the manifold! will i need a LCR manifold or will the k04 fit the standard manifold?

from what i remember from reading hooch topic dont you have to modify the oil and water lines to fit? maybe im thinking of something else?

downpipe is a bitch to make its an in/out/in/out with the downpipe with every extra section added, days and days of work, trust me, i was the first to k04 an ibiza.

the oil and wather lines from 225 hp 1.8t are a straight swap isnt it?

no the oil and water lines are different, i think i only used one original one which needed heating and rebending, possibly the one going around to the electric water pump.

arrhhh this is what im need to find out....everything! lol maybe the k03s will be plenty for the time being!

im currently rebuilding my redtop on throttle bodies <<<< so ive got plenty of work on at the mo!

ill pm hooch for any more info!

thanx!

do you mean that you need 3 lines from tt and one from the beezer?

or 3 lines completely home made and one from tt or beeza?

again, i did the conversion a long time ago, but i think it was 3 from the audi , the lengths and i believe angles are slightly altered from the ibiza ones and the ibiza one to the electric pump is completely different on the audi, so i used the ibiza one but had to heat it, for those that talk about heating the ibiza ones to alter angles, etc. from experience heating and bending them they are very easy to crimp when heated, i wouldnt reccommend it myself.
