Is the ko4 hybrid an easy swap from ko3s and what manifold do people reckomend thinking of ordering one soon just want to be sure that I order the right stuff rather than finding out half way threw the job
Not sure on which one it is to be honest I spoke to cr turbos about the ko3 hybrid and they reckonmended that I went for a ko4 hybrid instead if I am looking for the 300bhp mark
willl need manifold, turbo, tip, larger maf housing, dp, injectors, map - decent intercooler (off the top of my head, prob a few more things)
dp will probably need to be custom, everything else you can pretty much get off the suppliers on here (LCR Fitment - unless the suppliers do a kit for the ibiza)
The k04 puts out a lot of heat imo. You will need to moddifie the water pipes to get the tip to sit nice and you can buy a dp from qpeng for the conversion
Am running ko3s now with three inch down pipe 100cell sports car s3 injectors bmc air filter forge front mount and stage 2 revo oh and 2.5 inch jetex cat back an yeh rods and diff are on the cards so think I just need tip s3 maf housing can anyone reckonmend a manifold as don't really want to rush into buying one and it bein pants
The k04023 is different fittment to any k03 turbo. The manifold has to be change the doownpipe has to be changed and the tip. Iv done the conversion have a look on my rr
if they are talking about a k04001 then it will fit your mani and dp but the proper k04023 wont. i dont understand why they would sugest to you the hybrid k04001 as that is basicly a ko3s hybrid you would get the same figures.
Not sure they said the ko3 hybrid will get me around the 280bhp mark and if I want to make 300bhp I need to go for the ko4 hybrid I need to get a few more details from them I think as don't want to spend my time and money fitting it if I am not going to make 300
You would make 300 on a proper k04 hybrid as I was looking into doing this. It will cost you a far bit more to do this conversion over the sake of 20bhp.
