Just a quick review for all you guys needing tyres soon.

Just had a full set of Kumho KU39's fitted to my FR PD130 for a bargain price of £266 fitted and balanced from blackcircles.com

I drove 274 miles down to cornwall this weekend and had the tyres fitted before the drive down so the perfect testing scenario.

- Very quiet and comfortable at motorway speeds could actually hold a normal conversation without shouting, my car is on Raceland coilovers and it was still a pleasant drive down. Im no expert but i think the sidewall is a little softer to aid in the comfort dept.

- fantastic wet grip ! when i was in Cornwall it rained ALOT ! and the car felt very stable and grippy on the cornish back road twisties, not once did i feel the tyre was reaching its limit.

(i did hit the girfriends tolerance limit though )

in total ive driven just over 600 miles on these tyres in only 5 days, so far im very impressed with them i would recommend them to anyone ! apparently they are now OEM on alot of manufacturers.

IMO a very good quality "budget" tyre without the high price tag. :funk:

Running 195/40/17 Kumho, other than the spinning in 3rd in the wet when you plant it they're not bad.

The tyres the OP mentions, get them on eBay for like £210 delivered for a set too, better than blackcircles.

then you need to get them fitted and balanced. Blackcircles service is excellent and saves a lot of hassle for little extra.

Been saying this for ages about the KU39s was told i knew nothing lol:D:D
There superb my fronts have done 13k still have 3.5mm cannot fault them, far more stable than the falken fk452 and toyo t1r

Was the first time i used them and i agree the service was excellent, all in all a very fair price i thought, i had all the allignment done at the same time which was only £20 extra from the garage. My last tyres were destroyed on the inside edge so thought i should have it done.

really good tyre for the money, happy customer :)

Running the 39s here and they're great. Bit off when cold though but then again they ain't winter tyres

As said before KU39s are Kumhos version of Pilot Sport 3 but not paying michelin price!!!!
I would say these are a premium tyre at sensible price nothing like a budget tyre.
First thing i noticed was how quiet they are, whre i bought mine from was so confident in them he let me take his tuned golf r out to show how good they are!

Thanks for this, I've had already 2 on order so I'm now confident with my purchase.

I'm on KU31's for my front tyres and rate them a lot. They seem to have the magic combo of good grip and also that they don't wear out too quickly. I was going to try something different in the future but think I'll just go for KU39's :)
