Hi, my esp light came on and this is what vag com says, code 01423 came up , the question i have is how do you do this "Perform Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200) Basic Setting" i have phoned the stealers and replacement G200 is £700 has anyone else had this? any help gratefully accepted

have you tried clearing the fault and do vag TB alignment? then see if it comes back

Tried clearing but would'nt do it , can you explain how to do vag TB alignment.

*leave the ignition on
*clear the fault code in the engine module
*then go to measuring block, select block 060
* then press press switch button athe bottom of the screen

this will lock all the field and do the adaptive alignment. Give it a minute, then press done

Cheers i will try that, when i tried to clear the fault yesterday it just flashed but remained on the screen, also when you say engine module is it engine - in common, or engine in drivetrain, sorry but i am new to this.

im havin same prob. in told a new 1 is £120 from dealer.
its located on steerin column on left hand side bout half way down.
if u know any1 with elsawin just put g200 in the search bar on maintenence and ul get diagrams and full instructions.

Thanks for the info, i had forgotten about this thread, i did the TB alignment and that sorted it.

Guys why does a TB align clear the lateral acceleration issue? One is steering, the other is air intake??? Is there a bug in the software or something?
