:( sorry to hear this Ash...... a scuff on a bumper is easily repairable, especially if you work in a repair shop, at least there wasn't serious damage!
not the point i know, but could have been a lot worse......

i had this happen to me by a Royal Mail van in the car park at work (previous car, previous job).
a lot more damage though except i returned to my car with a smashed headlight, foglight, creased wing, split bumper with orangey-red paint scuffs all over it....... when i spoke to the RM depot manager he denied all knowledge and stated his van was undamaged........ even though it was the only orangey-red vehicle to have ever been in that car park.....[:@]
had to foot that bill myself...... spent all xmas week off work repairing / replacing all the damage....... first outing out.......wrote it off

:-o That sounds like a proper nightmare!!! Like you say, at least mine is just a case of repainting. Hopefully might get rid of a few stone chips too! :)

some one did this to me at the last seat meet a week later it fell of a ramp so dont put ya car on a ramp :(

It was on a ramp last week so hopefully i shouldn't have the same happen!

Car repaired!

Well, first day back at work the car is repaired. Sanded back, primed and painted. Just need to polish the blends in the morning.

So car-less tonight, but glad to see it in good condition again.

Also, got the opposite side fog light surround piece painted while i was at it cos it was getting a bit chipped.

Wouldn't it have been easier to remove the bumper instead of bagging the whole car?

The car wouldnt have been done as quick if I had to remove the bumper. Plus, if I'd have taken the bumper off, i'd have wanted the whole thing painted and it would've taken a bit longer to get it all done. This was the quickest and easiest way for me to get the car done without it seeming like i was taking the p155 in my last week. :(

Although, the polythene has left strange marks on the car, so it's gonna need polishing. :( But at least it will come off!

looks a top quality job there mate, wouldn't mind having my bumpers done lol ;)

Get them done then. :D I didnt choose to have this done...... ;)

sign on asap, its £50 a week which will help tide you over til something comes up. I eventually did after 4months with no job. Being a student now, I have a student loan so the jobseekers stopped.

That's Monday morning's job! :( Do they look for work for you or is it just a case of they give you £50 until you find something?

Car still looking good :)

See mine about anymore?

You have to be actively seeking a job as well, apply to an agency mate...

they'll look to see what suitable work is available on their system at the time and every 2 weeks when you sign on (or thats how it worked 8 years ago )

for that £50 a week they expect you to be pro-active in looking for work.

as said above, its a bit of £££ to keep you going.

He sold yours on as far as I'm aware - not seen it since that last meet I told you about, must be nearly 2 years ago now!

It's a tank of fuel a week and a bit extra - not that I use a tank a week! Luckily I'm still at home with my parents so dont NEED money, it's just sh1t not having any! :(
