Dont suppose you know the difference between the Ibiza Cupra brakes and Leon Cupra Brembo's?

One is a little smaller then the other I think, but I dont know whick one ('think' its the brembos that are a little smaller).

The AP's on the cupra are also used on the Clio V6's and some early TVR's iirc too.

So brembo's might fit better then? Eurgh this is a headache!

I might be wrong mate and it could be the AP's that are smaller.

Never seen a set of Brambos on a mk4 before, only AP's and LC/TT 312mm's. The brembos might have different mounting holes too as the \Brembo kit for the mk3 still used carriers..

iam in the same boat as you want better brakes but dont like the option of used + the looks of the likes of ap and brembos etc makes it part of styleing also :D

hey mate, AP's are larger calipers than the brembo's ie wider, but the LCR runs 323mm discs iirc. Definitely don't cut corners on brakes, aside from engine braking they're the only things stopping you! I'm well happy with my setup, similar to Damo's. Tarox G88's and DS2500 pads :D feels like they'll rip your head off your shoulders lol.

I want something a bit different too! But seems there's a reason why people tend to do the same things!

Would LCR brembo's fit though? 323's arent gonna fit are they?

I dont think the AP calipers would fit behind my wheels either! :(

looks good that mate

Thanks fellla! :D

Not much of an update really - more of something I've noticed.

Since fitting the Seat Sport cooler, I've noticed the car is so much better! Either that or giving it a full service has done it but I dont see how.

The car pulls so much better now and really impresses me when I use the loud pedal! With the Forge cooler, it was good but on hot days you really noticed it wasnt as pokey. Not now! Went out in it over the lovely 20 degree weekend and it still pulls like a train now, whereas it used to feel limp with the Forge cooler.

So big up the SS cooler massive! :cartman:

Oh - and I saw my new highest MPG today, an average of 65.8 mpg! :D :D :D

Haha I go away for a couple of weeks and this thread has grown a whole load of new pages for me to read!

Love the signature pic btw...best pic so far I reckon :)

Something amazing happened the other day:

The best I saw was 65.8! Who needs an ecomotive?

Headlining in pics - been meaning to do this for a while.

As you can see I still need the black interior light and alarm sensor.
