yeah i cant wait to hear the noise the downpipe makes tomo, plus was lucky to catch the cam follower too, now im content its good.

So saturday i went to fit my Downpipe at a mates garage.

Pics:

As you can see clearance is not an issue, mind you after a quick blast down the road made the heatwrap smoke like mad, but smellt really nice.

after that it was down to GTI Inters for a fun day of mud, 1/4 mile sprints, big powered cars and STAGE 2 APR MAP.... Oh yeah.

done 4 sprints, first was crap span into 4th, second - got grip was decent time, 3rd was against a V12 Q7 caught up with it towards the end.

Last run came up against a R8 V10, hmmm no chance i thought. well I beat it....... because his clutch apparently went.

Which DP is it? How close are you gear linkage cables to the DP?

I thought the fitment would be terrible but fitted fine, never noticed any of the gear cables near the DP.

are they supposed to be close?

No. When I removed my Miltek I noticed to gear cables were touching the DP and rubbing up and down. Not clever.

Well keith quoted 340-350bhp stage 2.

Feels great first time you boot it after its warmed up it pops and bangs like mad sounds lovely.

Thats all i been told by Keith at APR, he said i desperately need a High flow pump and intercooler next.

but clutch is first just for piece of mind.

Would like to get it dyno'd to see what its running.

Can I cheekily ask how your exhaust sounded before the downpipe? Considering getting a milltek res myself... How was it on the motorway etc?

Exhaust was fine before for me, i like hearing the exhaust, used to honda's, but it sounds a lot nicer and more tone to it after the Downpipe was fitted.

Yeah man its well funny, i pissed myself laughing when i saw it, update to my times tho got 13.9 at pod on sunday just gone only had 2 runs so couldnt really push it as much off the line.
