LCD Screen- many problems..please help!

Suddenly whilst driving my air con buttons stopped working and it is now stuck on 22 degrees and on three bars. When i start the engine the air con will randomly flick from being on at 22 degrees to being off. The outline of the car on the LCD screen also flickers randomly. Also the MPG and average speed/temp controlls do not work.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I had this problem last week and so did someone else on here. The fix for me was to take the surrounding plastic off so I could get to the screen. I then found the wire going in to the back of the screen wasnt secure so just pushed it in and all is fine now.

The screen will go back to normal after a while tho. Leave the car off for an hour or two and it seems to reset its self.

Also you will find all the aircon buttons still work its just the screen thats frozen.

hmm i will try that but the aircon definatly doesnt work at all so i thought it might be something electrical rather than a loose wire?

I unscrewed the front pannel and disconnected the cable connection and reconnected it and now the AC and Mpg controlls all work. Its surprising what something so simple can do, the connection may have been dusty. Cheers for your help
