lcr brakes squeeling but only in reverse??????

recently took charge of a cupra r but am a bit doubtful; of the brakes....they sometimes sound a bit grindy mainly when first setting off....Also theirs a real loud embarasing squeel when reversing??????any ideas chaps??

grinding is suface rust on disks, sqeel is the rear brakes when i reverse mine

mine also does this when reversing lol my octavia vrs also done it never caused a problem so just left it

Mine does this as well... i've cleaned the back brakes once but the next time it rained it started again so can't be fooked to do it again! Apparently its really common on these bud.

The rear brake sqeal is a common prob, i think there was a fix for this something to do with brackets or weights on rear caliper to change harmonic frequency, think i found it on briskoda so maybe only Skodas. Was goin to look into it but my 05 car doesnt when 02 one did so i stopped lookin, maybe Seat changed something?

do a search bud. theres been two substantial threads on this recently. fix is available from seat. something to do with 'wheighting' the rear calipers. had mine done and it cleared it up a treat.

ok cheers lads...was gona rip the wheels of tommorow and do a double check...and will pay a visit to my local seat dealer about these weights...gota go get a new r badge and mats anyway...
