Have been thinking about getting some LCR discs and calipers for my 150pd cupra, but dont know if I will still be able to keep my original alloys. Has anyone tried/managed to do this? Also, where did u buy them from.

thanks,
Lant

original alloys wont be any goos for the brembo clearence unless you run spacers mate.

good luck finding lcr brembos in good nick for less than 800quid.

try porsche 996 calipers on a 312mm discs from a cupra, get full kit all in for around 500 notes

Why buy second hand when you can get new from David at Sere Motors... Brembo calipers £225 each, LCR discs £76 each, pads £90... but as said, you'll need spacers as well.

As james said really, The brembos would look and perform really well but are very expensive when you can get a very good set up by upgrading to 312's front and poss 256's on the rear for the same price. Thats what i did :D

312 upgrade on leon cupra calipers will give a nice upgrade but not jaw dropping....

similar price for porsche 996 carrera kit, 4pot braking system instead of the leon single piston.

now thats an upgrade, married with good discs and decent pads will give you window licking braking

Leon Cupra Tdi comes with 288mm discs so you'll need 312mm discs and 312mm carriers.

Chap called Dave Brown will supply carriers for porsche calipers for around £110 and he also supplies calipers and discs too :)

Hey Fester,
Where did you get the guys info for supplying the carriers? I've just got a set of Porsche calipers and did'nt want to pay the price from Awesome!!
Any info would be great, thanks

Do a search on uk-mkivs.net for a chap called dave brown - he's the one that supplies custom carriers ... excellent to deal with too. He may even be able to make you a set to run 323mm discs or bigger.

i have a full 996 kit from dave brown on uk mkv1s

awesome is the only word

any way dont wanna advertise for him so look on the forum and pm him

he charged me £530 including delivery for absolutly everything.

Leon Cupra already come with 312 discs don't they? Certainly tempted with a bigger disc upgrade / Porsche calipers

will the 17inch tdi cupra style wheels have enough space for the 996 calipers then?

thanks!
